Biographical / Historical
Kappa Delta Pi was organized in 1911 at the University of Illinois. The purpose of the organization is to recognize sound scholarshop, commendable personal qualities, worthy educational ideals, and outstanding contributions to education. It's for undergraduate students with at least full junior collegiate standing and/or graduate students, all preparing to be ceritified to teach, with grade point indices in the upper fifth of the institution.
It was officially installed at Illinois Wesleyan University Jan. 26, 1965.
