Biographical / Historical

Pi Kappa Delta was installed at IWU on May 20, 1914. "Pi Kappa Delta, which was found ed in 1912, is the second largest Forensic Fraternity. This fraternity has as its purpose "to stimulate progress in, and to promote the interests of Intercollegiate Oratory, Debate and Public Speaking by encouraging a spirit of intercollegiate fellowship, of brotherly co-operation and interest, and by conferring upon deserving candidates a badge of distinction and honor, varied and graduated according to merit and achievement." The badge of this fraternity is a gold key, which shall denote the different degrees of merit." --The Illinois Wesleyan Argus, 04/15/1914, pg. 194-195
