Biographical / Historical
"One of Wesleyan's newest and most interesting organizations is the Human Relations Committee. Organized only a few months ago the Human Relations Committee was set up by unanimous vote of the faculty to investigate ways in which human relations on campus may be bettered. It is more specifically a channel for student and faculty problems to reach the administration and receive a hearing. The need for such a committee has been emphasized by the recent civil rights legislation and by the many racial-discriminatory problems now confronting the United States." -The Argus 2/5/1965
