Theta Nu Epsilon, Alpha Delta Chapter, 1920 - 1922

"The most dangerous of the class secret societies was Theta Nu Epsilon known T.N.E. and now abandoned almost everywhere. It perpetuated all sorts of excesses and violence with the utmost impunity, encouraging drunkenness, dissipation, immorality." -Illinois Wesleyan Argus, 12/05/1928, pg. 8

"It comes as a big surprise to the student body that the class fraternity of Theta Nu Epsilon, well known throughout the country in college fraternity circles, has been also established lately at Wesleyan. Seven of the most prominent men among the upper classmen were instrumental in obtaining the charter, and will soon appear in their caps and pins. Not all the typical college customs are possessed alone by the East. Wesleyan is coming in for her share." -The Wesleyan Argus, 1/23/1902, pg. 3

The chapter was expelled by the University in 1922. The student body passed a resolution on the chapter in May 9, 1924.
