Elite Society, 1887

It is not clear when the Elite Society was formed or ended on campus. They were known as "Elites." The Elites were a non-secretive organization of independent students on campus and were anti-Greeks. At the time there was no campus paper so the Elite Society, under threat of suspension, created the Elite Journal. No action was taken against the organization.
