SAVVI is a female service organization at Illinois Wesleyan with an emphasis on multiculturalism. The group SAVVI has it's origins with the sorority Delta Psi, founded in 1971. In May of 1972 it became home to the Iota Zeta Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority which was retired in 1983. Students rekindled an interest in having a historically African American sorority present on campus. In 1997 Solid Triangle was formed. In 2000 this service group was renamed Sisters Actively Visualizing Vitality through Intellect (SAVVI). There is no mention of the group beyond 2012. Some of the activites supported by this group are "Harlem Night," it's largest annual event and Volunter work with local groups The Neville House, Recycling for Families, and Domestic Violence Awareness.
