Biographical / Historical
"Nineteen Wesleyan men have been accepted as charter members for Circle K, international service fraternity. Officers of the new organization are Todd Eberle, president; John Hale, vice-president; Steven Nestler, secretary, and Wade Schott, treasurer. Other members are Bret Anderson, Larry Bear, James Brown, Percy Brown, Pete Brown, Richard Eychaner, Robert Fish,. Robert Hendrick, Douglas Miller, Ernest Schiller, The Wesleyan chapter of Circle K is sponsored by Bloomington-Normal Kiwanis
club. CIRCLE K is unique as college club because- it has no class, major, grade point requirements. All that is necessary is that members be in good academic standing with the university and be willing to serve actively. At present Circle K is meeting every Wednesday morning at 7:15." -Argus 4/28/1967
Around 1975 the organization changed their name to Circle K International.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop college and university students into a global network of responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to service. The tenets of Circle K International are service, leadership, and fellowship. This includes giving back to the community that we are a part of through service.
