Biographical / Historical
This group was formed in response to the Vietnam War in 1970.
"We represent the students of Illinois Weslyan University who are concerned about the most recent events in Southeast Asia and on our nation's campuses. Specifically we are concerned with the entering of United States troops into Cambodia and the killing of five college students on the Kent State University who protested that action. We feel that the moral implications of these actions are of such important concern that they deserve deep conseideration by your congregation in light of what the Church teaches about ware and violence."
