Scope and Contents

This collection started in 1896 thru 1904. There is a gap when this publication was not active. The volumes resume with v.1:no.(1992:Fall) and continue to the present. Volumes from 1992-2008 include an index of alumni. Abridged web versions of magazine issues have been posted on the University website since the summer of 2002. PDFs of the IWU Magazine can be found in Digital Commons and are based on these web versions and exclude some material that appeared in the magazine's printed version due to privacy, copyright protection and other considerations.

Abstract

IWU Magazine was first published in 1896. It was “devoted to the interests of graduate and non-resident students of IWU.” This first rendition of the IWU magazine lasted until 1904. In 1992, the IWU magazine was brought back. It was a continuation of the IWU Quarterly. In this publication’s “new format, we can better convey the sense of excitement, achievement and progress going on among our alumni, students, faculty and friends.” (Note to our Readers, Fall 1992)
