Abstract
This publication was formerly published under the The Streator District Advocate, "The change in name comes because the paper from this time is to be more closely related to Bloomington, than to the Streator District." (v.7:no.1) It was published in Normal, IL by B.W. Baker. “It goes into 200 towns in Central Illinois. It goes to farmers, merchants, doctors, lawyers, mechanics, laborers, dealers, manufacturers, all classes and grades...It is a good medium through which to advertise your business. Read especially the statements on the 6th and 7th pages concerning Illinois Wesleyan University. We believe this institution to be worthy of your patronage. Let the young people who are contemplating going to school this fall, investigate the provisions of the Wesleyan before going elsewhere.”
